A Word From Pastor John~
As we enter into the Lenten season we are focusing on the theme of repentance. We recognize that God is always at work both in our lives and all around us. May this season be a time of preparation as we prepare our hearts and our lives for the celebration of Easter.
Allow God to come into your life this week and prune you. If there's an attitude, behavior, lifestyle, thing in your life that shouldn't be there, allow the Holy Spirit to work within you. May God continue to bless you as we anticipate Easter Sunday.

Bible Reading Plan: Week 10
Where are you in your reading?
I am about 20 something days "behind" counting from the beginning of the year, but even when I miss a day, I always just pick up on my next day... no pressure. I read at my own pace and am on day 33 as I write this.
I encourage you to just start if you haven't already. And if you started and stopped, just pick up where you left off. Reading the Bible is an important part of having a relationship with Christ.
I am, as a lenten promise, adding a specific time for Bible study each day which will keep me on track for the next 40 days. Who knows, maybe it will create a habit. -cf
This year, we are reading through the Bible chronologically using The Bible Recap Plan in YouVersion.
Take a bookmark from the front lobby if you'd like to keep track that way and go through at your own pace. Bookmark three is now available!
Use bible.com OR the YouVersion app
Day 64: Numbers 23-25
Day 65: Numbers 26-27
Day 66: Numbers 28-30
Day 67: Numbers 31-32
Day 68: Numbers 33-34
Day 69: Numbers 35-36
Day 70: Deuteronomy 1-2
Before you read God’s Word today, seek His help with these 5 prayers:
1. God, give me wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. 2. God, let any knowledge I gain serve to help me love You and others more, and not puff me up. 3. God, help me see something new about You I've never seen before. 4. God, correct any lies I believe about You or anything I misunderstand. 5. God, direct my steps according to Your Word.

Nazarene News

by Church of the Nazarene South America Region
In the midst of the national crisis in Venezuela, the Lagos District is seeing an exciting new phenomenon take place as the district looks to plant new churches in two parts of the country with no Nazarene presence.
Multiple members of the district’s evangelism ministry have been mobilized with the JESUS film in new areas to open “Blessing Houses” or small groups that will eventually become a mission type church.
These new churches, located in the La Ranchería and El Estadio communities of Las Piedras de Perija, will be housed in buildings that were closed or abandoned by other denominations due to a lack of leaders. After obtaining permission to use the buildings, the district created a Maximum Mission group to help restore the facilities and to work with the new churches.
In the morning and part of the afternoon, the team works on cleaning and painting the church and putting the property in order. After, the team goes house to house to evangelize with tools such as evangecubes, hats, bracelets, and scarves. They also invite people to a showing of the JESUS film in the evening.
All this work has motivated many people who have come to the JESUS film showings to make the decision to follow Christ, and become part of the Church of the Nazarene. Specifically, these two church type missions have begun with 55 and 40 new believers.
A group of young people and adults from the Church of the Nazarene in the Perija Zone have worked passionately in street evangelism along with the district and national evangelism coordinators.
The National Evangelism Ministry is very grateful to the Lord for these developments and hopes to continue the work everywhere possible, inside and outside this district. This way they will fulfill the mission of making Christlike disciples in Venezuela and reach their Vision 2020 goals.

For someone who wasn’t looking forward to going on the women’s retreat I have to say that I was truly blessed. Not only was it fun with lots of laughter but we were filled with good food and the Holy Spirit. Our speaker was outstanding as was Carla who led us in music. It was invigorating to retreat into the presence of the Lord and learn a new perspective to a well planned presentation of scripture that merged together in strength with some fun facts intermingled.
The women’s retreat w definitely an experience that you don’t want to miss going forward. Scholarships are always available to help those who are in need.
