A Word from Pastor John

"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel."

Isaiah 7:14 NIV

God's people were given this promise of hope many years before Jesus actually came onto the scene. The promised Messiah was coming to save them; but they did not know the day or the hour.

As you can imagine, God's people waited for many years until the Messiah was born. And during that period of waiting, the anticipation of His arrival grew greater and greater.

As we enter into the season of Advent, we are reminded that Advent is a season of anticipation. God's people were awaiting the promised Messiah, but He had not shown up yet.

So as we celebrate Advent over the next four Sundays, we are celebrating answered promises. We are celebrating the arrival of Jesus the Messiah, our Savior, our Lord, who came to rescue us and give us new life.

This season of Advent reminds us that God is faithful, and that God always takes care of His children. Even though the Lord sometimes works in mysterious ways, and oftentimes not on our exact timeline, we are reminded that He is faithful.

Nazarene Compationate Ministries

This week is Giving Tuesday, an opportunity to give generously to support this years’ NCM Christmas Project, the Empowering Women With Dignity vocational training courses in Liberia.

Your donation on Giving Tuesday will help fund life-changing courses in catering, soap-making, tailoring, and more. By learning these trades, women are empowered to lift themselves and their families out of poverty, breaking the cycle of poverty and restoring God-given dignity.

Watch this video to see the project in action!

Will you help women and girls write themselves a different and better future? You don’t even have to wait until next week—you can give on our website right now.

Giving Tuesday is also a perfect opportunity to share about the Christmas Project with your friends and encourage them to join you in supporting the vision. Next Tuesday, visit our Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter pages to find posts to share, or consider setting up your own Facebook fundraiser for the project.

Learn more about the Empowering Women With Dignity project here. Thank you for giving the gift of hope!

For Giving Tuesday, you can also give to your home church, Mosaic. Write in the notes on your check, or on the envelope to where you would like your offering designated:

☞Children's Ministry

☞General Fund

☞LoveWorks Family Resource Center

☞ MOPs (Mothers of Preschoolers)

☞Prison Ministry

☞Woman's Ministry

God, help me see something new about You I've never seen before. 4. God, correct any lies I believe about You or anything I misunderstand. 5. God, direct my steps according to Your Word.
